Carpal Tunnel syndrome is a condition caused by the compression of the Medial Nerve that supplies feeling to our fingers and palm. This can be differentiated with arthritis by the sensation and area of pain.

Desk work, specific positioning and usage of the wrists -- without proper stretching and care, can cause carpal tunnel. Posture and ergonomics can be adjusted to help manage pain and symptoms. Massage therapy can help those with this condition through decreasing tension in the surrounding muscles to help the affected muscles relax and take off pressure from the Median Nerve.

Massage therapists cannot diagnose conditions. Please contact your medical doctor to get an official diagnosis.
